I wish there was some way I could show ye all this. Unfortunately, I don't for a minute think a photo would work. And the light probably wouldn't be enough to film it from here. So, I'll have to describe it then:
Ye know what fire behaves like, in a wind? Has that 'guttering' effect, where by it dances. Expands. Contracts. Leaps up and down. With me?
Right, well I'm sitting here. Actually a nice, sunny day outside. Bit blowy though. And I'm noticing this ethereal 'smoke / fire' down in the corner of my window! It's about the size of my hand. It's silvery gray and it's dancing, just like fire.
First off, I've just accepted it. Then, it's occurred to me that it almost seems as it there's a fire, just behind that corner of the window frame. Bit f**king insane, that. Even by my standards. How's a cement window sill going to spontaneously combust on a Saturday?
Yet, there's no denying that this definitely looks like a pale gray flame. Or the smoke from one. Needs investigating .....
I've leaned back a bit and looked at the offending corner. Aha! Was that a cobweb I was seeing? So, maybe it's dew, trapped on the web. Light's catching it and it's bouncing a shadow ....? But, no. There is no web there. F**ked.
Leaned a bit further back ~ Lazy bastard, aren't I? Can't be arsed to do more than lean, look!

Bloody Dog bowl, on the ground, out there. Filled up with rain water. The wind's stirring its surface and the sun's shining into it.
Boosh! With all the precision of a well played, off the cushion pool shot, that sun light is being bounced up to the corner of my window. On a still day, I guess, it'd produce just a prismatic glare. A spot of reflected light. But, today, with the wind blowing ....?
'Smoke from the Water'. How about that?

Yeah; I sometimes wonder, myself ..........
